A unique book of quotations that reads front to back, and (flipped) back to front. Today I am Strong offers quotations that encourage. Today I am weak offers quotations that empathize and comfort. These are the words I sought out, that I longed to hear while going through my own personal hell... a situation that broke me. And as I struggled to put myself back together, I realized that healing is not continually moving forward. Sometimes you leap, sometimes you stall, sometimes you fall backwards, hard. Healing is a daunting journey, and one of the most courageous decisions any of us will ever undertake.
More than trite sentiments or feel-good inspiration, these are words that go to the core. Words from people who know, who've been there, who understand the depths of pain and hopelessness. The reality is there are days we can step forward and there are days we need to retreat -- it's all a part of life, of loving, of healing.
These quotations were collected over years of my own healing process. They have been my comfort and encouragement when I felt no one else really "got" what I was going through. I've used them in art journaling, in messages for others, and as reminders to myself that I am not alone. That life is worth living.
The circumstances of tragedy, pain, and trauma are as unique as every person on this planet. But everyone experiences pain, suffering, loss, and heartbreak. And there are times, many times, we all need to know we are not alone. And through it all, we can still live, love, give, and through our own healing, help others to heal.
It has long been on my heart to share the wisdom and comfort of these words that I collected along the years. I hope they will bring light to your hard days too... I hope you will know, you are not alone. Ever.

“Life is amazing. And then it's awful. And then it's amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That's just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it's breathtakingly beautiful.” - LR Knost
